HMV model 460 Lumiére

Post by saxymojo »

Hi

Got a new machine today, I have the model 461 and have always wanted the 460, not the easiest machine to find. Well it arrived at my door at 1 am today. the gold has been re-plated but the rest is original.

Regards Marcel

Congratulations Marcel. It looks VERY nice & they're not an easy model to find out here.
Here's an ad that appeared in a Brisbane newspaper on Dec 15, 1925. Not exactly a cheap machine considering you could buy a Bungalow upright for £1 more than the oak 460.

Hi Shane

Thanks for the pictures of the ads, do you have original copies of these? I alway wanted to scour the old news papers for gramophone ads.

I should have taken the lid off the Edison on the left, It is a nickel plated model B Triumph in the mahogany cabinet.

My partners daughter added the angry bird, she has them in many of my horns, there's another slant on "Put a sock in it"
