Broken Columbia Graf. G-2 tonearm. Substitute D-2?

Post by AMbrowm »

Hey guys, quick super amateur question: I have a Columbia Grafonola model G-2 I've been tinkering with, and I finally got it working only yo have the tonearm break. I can't get another G-2 tonearm right now, but I might be able to get a D-2 tonearm. They look similar enough that I'm hoping I can substitute the D-2 tonearm for the G-2 tonearm, and frankenstein this guy together.
eternal gratitude to anyone who can let me know,
Allison

Welcome to the forum. They are the same arm and elbow.

Woo hoo! Then all is not lost. Thanks very much Harvey, very glad to be here. I haven't figured out how to transfer my eternal gratitude over paypal yet though, so until then, I hope this emoticon will do: :rose:
