Didn't Edison have some dealings in Malaysia? it could say "M??? Menado Manufacturers of Phonograph ???" Menado is a Malaysian word that is a name of a place and a person's last name there also.
Sorry, have to edit... I'm thinking it is an Indonesian word, still Edison did deal with both didn't he?

Re: Help identify this horn
I'm not aware of any Edison operations in Malaysia, and I really don't mean to be contentious, but...it's not an Edison horn.

Re: Help identify this horn
I wasn't suggesting that it was an edison horn, but a horn made to fit an edison machine that was shipped to Indonesia at one time.

Hmm, I would have thought that like New Zealand & PNG, places like Indonesia & Malaysia would have received their Edison products via his warehouse, offices & show rooms in Kent St Sydney Australia, as part of the Australasian domain?

Re: Help identify this horn
you're probably right about the machine nor horn not being in Indonesia, to the root of what I was getting at was that the horn label looked to me like it said "MENADO" above the word "manufacturers of". For all I know it could mean that a man with the Indonesian last name of Menado set up a horn making outfit in the U.S. at one time. Maybe Menado is a name in some other language like Spanish.
Maybe it says "Mortimer & Menado manufactureres of Phonograph Horn Mysteries", lol

Re: Help identify this horn
I figured it wasn't an edison as well. It would be pretty simple to identify if it was. All I know is it came with an edision phonograph. Who knows how many different things this thing had over the past 100 years. I just haven't seen anything like it or like the label. This horn will be used to test my wood grain painting skills.
I am really excited to try it.
