WTB Deafness and Phonographs

Post by Guest »

Hi All

Looking for an 1892 issue of Phonogram for Oct or Nov that carried an ad stating: "Scientists and Experts say: Deafness can be Cured by the Phonograph." Any similar ads would also be great. Thanks!

This one young lady, l I had a date with, was deaf, but she said she could hear the Edison Phonograph, much better than a modern stereo, or car radio which she could not make out anything at all in the mid high range, except for the boom boom bass that she could feel, but she could actually make more out of the acoustic Edison. This makes sense Edison was very hard of hearing and he had to make it so he could use it.
