Strange Extra Part on Victor R
My Victor R has a small metal tab on the top of the wood arm at the end near the horn support. I have never seen another R with this tab, and it doesn't serve any apparent purpose. Does anyone have a guess what it was for? It appears to have been hand made and installed a long time ago. I can't figure out why it's there...some kind of conspiracy, perhaps?

It looks like a cable holder of some sort. Good luck with that one. Don't you just love these mystery parts? Seems every item I get, I get something added.

Probably a previous owner had a strip of leather to keep the horn from falling out of the cradle. Maybe they had kids that rough-housed too much???

Brandon,
Nice Pewabic Pottery vase. I have the same one. Did you get yours from the factory in Detroit?

Thanks, yeah it's from the pottery in Detroit. I don't live that far from it. You can kind of see the Roseville in the second picture too.JerryVan wrote:Brandon,
