I have a knee hole writing desk phonograph, which I call, a no name phonograph, because it does not have any identification at all. It look like a Columbia Grafonola Regent model, but the ball and claw legs are different. It does not have a Columbia motor, nor a Columbia tone arm and reproducer. A cabinet maker must had copied the Columbia Grafonola Regent model. Can the members of the forum enlighten me if they know another sample around. I got it from New York in the early 1980's.
Thanks,
James

have you pulled the turntable off? There may be a plate under it. Very cool looking phonograph. Where is the bottle of whiskey hidden? I bet there is a bar somewhere in that thing. lol

The phonograph was overhauled. Thus, taken off the turntable and the top of the desk to bring out the motor, even the underneath was searched. No identification plate.EdisonPhonographGuy wrote:have you pulled the turntable off? There may be a plate under it. Very cool looking phonograph. Where is the bottle of whiskey hidden? Very Nice phonograph for a no-name brand. Is that an "I" in the middle of the star in that phonograph grille? You might want to start there.
