RV park near Union Show

Post by phonogal »

Can anyone recommend a good RV park near the Union Show. I'm hoping to make it to the show this year for the first time. :D Thanks, Jan

I think there may be camping at Donleys Wild West Town where the show is held.

The "Chicago Northwest KOA" is right next door to the Union show. Jerry Blais

Thanks Jerry, I knew I saw campers off to the right of the building in the past.

Right, Left....How can a person remember when you are running around all buggeyed with that much phono eye candy under one roof?

I bet you guys never knew this but I actually lived at Wild West town, quite a few years ago, I had an apartment in the warehouse. It was so long ago, that the computers there were all Dial UP- and listing things for sale took forever!!! My P.O box was 78 Union IL.

The thing is, When I was working there, I was not able to attend the Mechanical Music show, because I was demonstrating the machines in the collection for the museum. I was one of the few people who worked in the phonograph shop on machines. I have known Larry since I was 10 years old. What I really like was the fact, when I replaced springs, I actually used original spring shaping, and hooking pliers, so everything went smoothly, those things really work!!! Larry actually was one of my restoration teachers. The Donley family has always been good to me.

Sincerely Shawn
