Phonogal, Regardless of what the wood is (in this case walnut) the machine is just a work of art. I think it was a terrific find. Congratulations!!!!.

Thanks all for all the nice comments. I thought it was beautiful when I first saw it. I'm very glad we made the long trip to get it. Now I can't wait for the Union show. It will be my first phonograph show. I'm still hoping to find a Credenza. :D See you there. Jan.
