Hello!
I have a nice VE 7-26 X Electrola for restoration. It's complete, and plays very faintly as is, and will need a thorough electronic going-over. All the mechanics function well. It has the proper bronze needle cup and good-condition turntable leather. The original manual is included, in good condition, with the exception of a partial cigarette burn affecting the back cover and most interior top page edges. The front cover is good.
The cabinet is in good condition, with two flaws- a 4-inch chunk out of the front edge of the rear leg stretcher, and a ring of some sort (not a water ring, as far as I can tell) on the top surface. I've taken flash and natural-light photos of the ring, and as you can see, is not nearly as noticeable without flash. The finish is all original and hasn't been messed with. I can deliver this free to the Union show in June.

Which speaker does it have, the permanent magnet or the electrodynamic?

VE 7-26X has the PM speaker. You need to find a VE 7-26A to get the Electro
dynamic speaker.

I have never seen a victor tag on this machine stamped with an 'A' In the early model 7-26's the electrodynamic speaker was a $50 dollar upgrade. I understand that in the very late production model's that it became the standard. I have heard both, the permanent magnet and the electrodynamic play and I will tell you that the permanent magnet, just sounds anemic.

get a couple pictures of the radio drawer as well, I'd like to see the state of the electronics there.
