who's the best ???

Who would you all recommend to rebuild and/or overhaul a few of my Edison reproducers for me? I have a two minute and a couple of four minute reproducers that need new stylus as well as a general overhaul. Plus one combination K reproducer. They all play and look nice but play with poor sound quality. I live on the East Coast near Edison's plant in West Orange New Jersey.

I recommend Steve Medved as an excellent rebuilder of any of the Edison reproducers. I believe that he is a member here on TMF, but I can't recall his member ID. Can somebody help with this? Otherwise, I can PM you his personal email address.

Steve Medved hands down. He does top notch work and in my opinion, is the best in the business regarding Edison reproducer rebuilds. He only charges for parts and labor is free which is rare these days. On top of that, he is, (and has been) researching the subtle variation in reproducers and records them with the serial numbers as there are no official records of that sort of thing in existence. You will not be disappointed!
