That was "the barn", which I visited a couple of times. The collector in question used the nomiker "Edisonic" on the OTVMMB when he was an active member a few years ago.

Very sad indeed.

It’s quite unfortunate that he would lose so many machines to fire, although it sounds that he has been able to salvage far more than I would ever have believed possible from the photos in that thread.

With the extent of the fire damage pictured, I would never have guessed that anything could be salvaged, let alone motors and records.

I can’t even begin to imagine how heartbreaking that must be.

Folks,

That is just terrible. I am so saddened to read of such a loss, particularly when it's someone I know and admire. Adam please forward along my condolences to Bob if you speak with him. Let him know my thoughts and prayers are with him as I'm sure are everyone else's.

Jack, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Regards,
John

what's really weird about that is that I believe the same thing happened to the same person (vitanola/edisonic) several years ago, where his warehouse or storage facility filled with similar items also burned. twice in the same lifetime?

John, I haven't been in touch with Bob for a couple of years now.
