I'm reasonably sure it's the same arm as on a VV-XVI made at the same time. Jerry

Is it the same arm as used on a 120? If so, I have a super clean one with tone arm support

It isn't the same as a 120, that's the fatter style tone arm. The XVIII uses the earlier, thinner style arm, possibly the same as an earlier XVI would use as Jerry says, but I'm not at home to compare the two.

I've always thought of the XVI as the "flagship" of the Victor line. It wasn't the most expensive Victrola but it always had the best motor, largest horn, best tone arm, and gold bright parts. The only difference between the XVI and the more expensive models was a more deluxe cabinet.

Well, the XVIII did use the earlier arm, but the OP is looking for a tone arm for a VV-XVII, which, being introduced later, used the "A" style "Fat" tone arm. The VV-XVII and the VV-130 were the same machine, save for the nameplate.

Buty what's an "I" between friends. ;)

It would fit, but the XVII and the 130 used a slightly different back bracket. The XVII would have had one with the limit pin and a screw going through the support where the later 130 has the nut on top holding the pin in place (as you pictured).

Is the arm itself the same, or are there differences?
