Electrically Recorded Edison Diamond Discs
What matrix number did Edison begin producing electrically recorded diamond discs for both pop and classical? Any information is appreciated. Thanks!

Record numbers according to Wile:
52089 for popular 50000 series
80885 for classical 80000 series
82351 for classical 82000 series
57025 for German 57000 series
59305 for Finnish 59300 series
60063 for Spanish/Cuban 60000 series
Other series do not have electrically recorded records.
On another thread, there have been dicussions about some discs that have higher matrix numbers but appear before the record numbers shown above:

I think you're all quoting "record catalogue numbers" as opposed to "matrix numbers".
The Truesound online discography Project site has an Edison DD list, and if you look up the record numbers quoted above, you'll also find the matrix numbers listed.
Those with the "E" prefix are electrically recorded.
