Columbia Hi Trunion AT

I have an early Columbia AT with the fancy case. It is circa 1899. It has a high trunnion on it that I believe it was modified at the factory or a dealer.The lid does not fit properly on it. The bottom is too short. Were these lids modified or was a special one made at the factory? Any input or photographs of these lids will be great.
