I recently obtained a working Amberola 30, and would like to remove the mechanism to work on the oak case.
Can anyone advise on which specifc screws hold the mechanism to the case?
Anything I should be specifically aware of, or any other general advise?
Thanks ...

Next: Unscrew the lid stay, to get better access to the upper works.
. Unscrew the gear cover and remove it. You will find two large bolts on the right side of the bedplate; and one on the left, under the gear cover. Reach under the bedplate on the right, and find the square nuts holding the bolts on; hold them steady as you unscrew the bolts. The bolt on the left has no nut, and can simply be unscrewed.
. Make sure that the horn suspension spring is unhooked from the underside of the bedplate (if indeed it's still there).
The motor is now ready to lift out of the cabinet.
I hope this answers your question.

Re: Question on Amberola 30
Your instructions worked perfectly ... thank you very much.
The process would not have been intuitive.
The spring was present ... but it looks like it will be a feat of dexterity to get the spring back on.
In the case under the horn, I found a work order for some repair work ... dated September 1945.
