A while back I posted the cover of the Victor supplement that introduced the electrical version of the Piano Concerto No.2. I recently got the supplement that announced the acoustic recording of the concerto. I thought I'd scan it just for fun. I've always liked the acoustic recording in which, oddly enough, the first movement was never issued. The story was that Rachmaninoff wouldn't approve the final side of the first movement and by the time they would have been doing a retake of the last side, Victor was in the throes of converting to the electrical method. The approved part of the 1st movement finally appeared in RCA's complete Rachmaninoff reissue in the 70's.

Re: Rachmaninoff Second Concerto
I love the electric version. His playing is so transparent and void of sentimentality.
