Anyone have experience with this mover??

Post by Skihawx »

I am looking to ship an upright victrola and checking out my options.

http://antiquetransport.com/contact/index.html

They say the move Victrolas all the time. Anybody use them?? Sounds
like they will not make a crate but will move it to a truck once twice
at the most...

Any one have and suggestions or comments?

I used Antique Transport Co. to ship my VE 8-4 from New York State to Southern California. They blanket and strap in one of their trucks and drive it to you. Their cost is astoundingly inexpensive (around $400.00, coast-to-coast), but if you want delivery in a hurry, it won't happen. It took 8-12 weeks to get my VE 8-4. They pick up and deliver, but it must fit into their trucking schedule, and they deliver all over the lower 48. My phonograph arrived in terrific condition and the drivers brought it directly into the house (ground floor). They also do COD. I'd recommend them, but remember, it'll take a while.

Good luck.
