Just found this project of a true phono mind. Luke Jerram had the idea to record his proposal directly on the engagement ring. Although the sound is dreadful, to my knowledge, this is the smallest playable cylinder record ever made, and I think it's really a wonderful idea. He even made a tiny electric player for the ring:
