Edison Fireside
Looking at purchasing an Edison Fireside. It is a 2/4 minute machine with the two piece horn. Listing says it has a model "H" reproducer - looking in The Complete Talking Machine it states this machine came with Edisons "K" reproducer. Are the "C" and "H" reproducers useable with this machine? Thanks

Re: Edison Fireside
Yes,
The C and H reproducers can be used with the Model A Fireside.
Good luck,
Gene

Re: Edison Fireside
The inexpensive two and four minute Edisons, such as the Gem and Fireside, originally came with the K reproducer. The more expensive Edisons, such as the Standard, Home, Triumph, and Idealia, were sold both the C and H reproducers. Jerry Blais

Re: Edison Fireside
Thanks for the info. I went digging in my storeroom and noticed I have a Fireside in there which has the H reproducer on it. Reading up on the K reproducer which seems to be a high-strung thing and not worth the trouble, except for originality.........Also came across a shipping crate for a Victor XI. The crate has the unpacking instructions on the front and the large paper Victor Dog posters on both sides which are both 97% complete. The whole crate is there minus the inside mounting which held the machine. It was addressed to a woman in Md. I should really go through whats in this storeroom....thanks for the info. on the Firesid, learn something new everyday............cheers
