This listing recently came up on the Nashville C/L. There are no pics of the Oak L-Door XVI in the listing. I contacted the seller and she emailed some pics to me. The cabinet is the issue, the mechanics all seem to be present in the photos she sent. There is a motor, tone arm, exhibition repro, motor board with brake and speed control. But the cabinet is in poor shape on the inside.

I was interested, but decided that it was just going to be more than I could handle. I would love to have the brake, though!!! Can't see spending the money for just a brake.

Re: Oak L-Door XVI Project Machine
It's worth the asking price just in parts.
The tone arm is the same size as any Victor III, IV, V, VI, M, MS, or D
The brake is the same as most of the above.
The speed control is the same as a Victor IV, V, or VI.
The Exhibition reproducer has value.
The turntable looks like a cast iron turntable.
The motor is the same as a Victor V or most VI's.
The crank has value.
The knobs and needle cup have value.
Anyone close to this machine should take advantage of making a purchase or at least an offer.

I will be picking it up in a few days Jerry. I hate to see a cabinet such as this one butchered, but at least the parts will help in putting another machine back together again.

I am glad it went to one such as you, who will make sure it helps to complete other machines. Kathy told me that her father-in-law had planned to install an electric turntable in the cabinet and that is why he cut it up. What a shame. But it will end well.
