Am I right? Could be a nice unit for someone.
I think it is a XVII....seems like a good price.

Looks like a XVII or possibly the later 130.

You cannot be sure unless you check. Tell the seller he'd have to be very negotiable on the price or it's not worth a trip. It's a shame if it were bleached but I have learned the hard way not to buy other people's screw-ups.I just figured it was a cell phone picture. my colors never come out true.

Not the 130, I think, I just picked one up and it has the needle cups (and the cute little drawer to catch the spent ones) at the right rear corner.gemering wrote:Looks like a XVII or possibly the later 130.

This finish looks pretty good to me, but of course the only way to tell if it has been mucked with is to look at it up close and personal. And of course it is not all that uncommon for the outside color to vary from the inside color to some extent as the inside of the lid is protected from a century of exposure to light. And it looks like the shot of the inside of the lid is somewhat distorted because of the use of a flash.
If it were not so far away I would certainly go look at it. A nice VII at that price would be a bargain.

I dunno, except for the lid it looks OK to my eye, but as was already stated, you really have to see it in person. Flash photography can do weird things to color and contrast, and that may be the case here.

If someone wants to make $2000, just buy this at $500, and sell it to this guy on Craigslist for $2500!
