Funny responses. I'm coming up on 50 years of marriage in a few days and notwithstanding my two antique cars she loves the collection of machines. She is constantly playing them, especially my Victor III. I think she secretly loves going into the boonies to auctions and terrorizing other bidders :D She interrupted one auction to ask if the parents of a young boy would stop the lad from hanging on the crank of a machine she was bidding on.

I am single, so this is not an issue. My ex did not want to talk about it much, but she didn't fight it either. However, the first time she came in my room, I made sure the morning glory horn was on the Edison Standard, just to see how she'd react. She was fine, so I knew she was a keeper.

FYI: it doesn't always work, since she cheated on me with multiple guys...

I'm lucky the Mr has been a motor head for the 10yrs we have been married. After countless ebay purchases, tuner fees and turbo imports from Brazil I am only just finding a hobby/addiction to rival his. He just laughs and says "see, now you understand the hook". He even makes it a point to learn the names of all the machines.

My wife is an artist, painter, jewellery maker, etc and tends to take over big parts of the house for her projects. I let her do that and in return defend the floor space for my hobby. Not sure she is really happy about this, but at least I have leverage

Well, since we've yet to hear back from Jerry on this matter, one can only assume he's been locked in the basement since he posted!

Having seen pictures of Jerry's basement, I think I could be content down there for some time. :D
