I thought I would share this accordion binder.
This is the first one I've come upon.
Was this a common European style?
Nice graphic too.
I searched the name and found A.Matthey-Jaquet to be a watch maker,
with mentions ranging from 1905 through 1932. One of the publications
mentioned they also fabricated watch boxes. This may have grown out of
that aspect of their manufacturing.
Located in Switzerland in the city of La Chaux-de-Fonds, on the French boarder.
It was full of great music too, but I will post that in the music section of the forum.

Re: odd styled record binder
I've only ever found one album that was bound in the same way myself. Mine has no indication as to who or where it was made, but I've always assumed it was a reasonably early album & made in Continental Europe due to the Art Nouveau design, so they probably are far more common over there.

I love Art Nouveau and that is a good looking cover.
I also like the fact that is is called a Record Album.
One day in the future a single record would hold an album of music.
Thanks,
James.

Re: odd styled record binder
I have a couple from a Buffalo estate sale - brownish covers, green pages, plain except for a very simple border on the front cover. Also a couple of smaller ones, full of BROADCAST discs ..
