Is This a Columbia BC Concert Horn?
The horn is 54" tall with a 20 ¼" bell, has flat seams and a 13/16" opening on the end.
I can see some remaining solder on the small end, so I know it had some kind of nipple.
What would be the proper dimensions, and proper nipple for this horn?
I have included a drawing of an idea I have to make this horn useable as a BC or standard horn.
The OD of the large piece would have to be 13/16" to fit the horn, and the ID of the small piece would have to be ⅝" to fit a standard reproducer.
The thing I don't know is what the ID and OD would have to be where they go together, (I think threads or a bayonet mount would work).
What do you think? Is there an original adapter out there? Pictures would be great.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks, Bob S.

Re: Is This a Columbia BC Concert Horn?
Bob,
The photo below shows an original BC horn (in the background). Later production BC horns were a flower type.
Your horn's dimensions don't correspond to the BC horns. I believe your horn was built by the Standard Metal Manufacturing Company, while the original BC horns were supplied by Hawthorne & Sheble.
Hope this helps...

The horn on this BC is much smaller, as shown:

Schweg,
What is the OD and ID of the nipple on the end of your horn?
Thanks,
Bob S.
