Victor Speed Control

Anybody know how to get this speed control off the board? It doesn't want to "unscrew" but I haven't forced it.

Also what's the function of the screw/bolt underneath - moved it slightly but doesn't seem to affect anything... ?

The big screw should come off. When it does, you can remove the adjustment piece and a spring that is hidden underneath. Next, you'll notice two small holes. I tap the collar piece with a screwdriver held at an angle to the holes. Once you get it started, it will come off easily. Jerry Blais (Go Ducks!)

I use a small needle nose plier and placing each end into the two small holes....you turn the ring nut counter clockwise until if comes off the thread. When reinstalling.....make sure you have the speed indicator plate is the right position and then tighten the ring nut back on. :)
