Edison B Home Bedplate Painted Fini
I have etched primed the bedplate and Painted are Finished here are some current pics of the bedplate restoration. Later ill be showing the case restoration . Boy I wish I had a lid for my edison but I will have to go with out I can not afford one this year maybe the year after next

Beautiful work! Do you apply a clear coat on this, or is this just a single stage paint?

Thank You Sir It is actually not completely done just the black paint is done. I still have to have the bedplate pinstriped. then I have to decide what to use, I like to find out what edison used in the factory. I think a schallic clear will preserve it better, However then again maybe a Laquer . as per the painting process it is a one step paint and well I did use 6-8 coats with a 2 day drying time between the process . This is to give it that nice factory look.
