Just stumbled over this on eBay Germany: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Grammophon-Phono ... 8665327%26
A Frankenphone made from a Puck Mermaid base into an open works Grammophone. Amazing what people come up with in order to deceive others.
A translation of the text:
Offering an original table top gramophone around 1900, brand Victrola Victor Talking Machine USA. A mermaid is holding the horn. Intersting is that you can see the clock motor functioning while playing a record. The spring motor plays one record straight through. Plays very nicely. One record will be added as a bonus. Size: length: 60cm, width: 26cm, height: 36cm. Have fun bidding!

I wonder if even the mermaid base is fake. I bet it is.

Re: A very special Frankenphone
Four bids have already pushed the price to 160 Euros. I wish my German was more fluent, I'd like to ask the seller some questions. I wonder if "Frankenphone" would mean anything to him?
