1913 Columbia Eclipse

Post by CDBPDX »

Just got a 1913 Columbia Eclipse table model turntable. Got a fall 1912 ad from a Saturday Evening Post advertising this machine for $20! Bought it as seen in the attached picture. Got it home and all the missing parts were inside the cabinet, even the original reproducer. The wooden gear that connects to the governor is missing a few teeth and the tone arm is a shabby replacement, but it seems to work other than that. Gonna go get an Edison A250 this weekend on the Oregon coast. It also seems to work well though the cabinet is a bit scruffy.

Awesome! You did very well, it should clean up really nice. These little guys sound better than you'd expect. :)
