Found this in a listing. The cabinet looks like it could be an older repro. The dataplate is interesting as it's a rip-off of the Columbia label and it also has a serial number. The text seems to read "this talking machine will play" which sounds like a bad attempt by a non-english speaker at making an authentic sounding statement for the dataplate. It looks like the body of the phonograph on the dataplate reads "Columbia" when on the real Columbia label it reads "graphophone."
Anyone have a clue?

Re: Identifying a Machine: Fake? Victor/Columbia Dataplate
Interesting data plate. I think it's stating that the machine can play both Victor and Columbia records. It looks like it says, "This Talking Machine Will Play". Then on the horn it says, "Victor". The tonearm appears to have the word, "And" on it. Then the cabinet says,"Columbia" with, "Records" just below.
"This talking machine will play Victor and Columbia records." I don't recall seeing this before but I am sure someone else here can help out a bit more.

This looks like a Columbia client machine. The case looks like a Royal case. The speed controls is definitely a Columbia as with the back bracket, tone arm and reproducer. The data plate sure puzzles me, though.

Definitely an original Columbia client machine, just as Harvey states, based on the Royal. I believe it was sold mail order only, I used to have an add for this machine and it used exactly the same logo in the add. Don't know why but I got rid of all my adds long ago. Nice machine worth restoring!
