Was looking around craigslist and found this ad with what looks like a VV-XVI L-Door with the lid removed, the l-doors cut and the shelf removed as it was "beautifully Converted for bathroom use". I usually go after machines like these as I like to at least bring them back to a former glory but I believe this one is too far gone. Anyways, sent the owner a email to see if they still have any of the missing parts.

Perhaps they should change the "beautifully converted" to "horribly mutilated".

Don't you just love those guys? He won't give his phone number, but if you answer the ad and don't include yours, he will ignore you. Sure wouldn't want that in my bathroom. Too much trouble to explain it to my friends.

I have a couple of the "L" doors in mahogany and you're welcome to have them. Sorry, no lid. Jerry Blais

Re: XVI L-Door converted into a bathroom accessory
After reconstructing the my last VTLA, I think finding another motor , board, tone arm, not to mention a lid, to put this one back together would be more than I think I could take. I was lucky on the last as a few members parted with their parts and not sure if I could get them or even afford them. No word back from the seller as of yet.
