Thank you very much for all your help, as soon as my recorder comes back from repair I'm going to do what you suggest. Your recorder looks very technical, you obviously know your stuff and you did this back in the 90's. My shaver arrived today I think it looks pretty good I've got to give it a good clean, service and attach an electric cable. I paid £100 for it, just hope it will work properly.
