EDISON GREASE and OIL containers ETC.

Post by briankeith »

Everyone here I bet owns a small glass jar of Edison grease. There are at least 3-6 on EBay every week, so so very common. BUT how many varieties do these small jars come in? I have milkglass white, amber glass, clear glass, and cobalt blue glass. I also have a taller version of the milkglass white jar. I have three different size "labeled" Diamond Disc oil bottles as well, all clear glass. (not to be confused with railroad battery oil bottles which are found all over New Jersey along old railroad beds) Just curious?

Thanks for showing it.What kind of oil is it?Light mineral oil?
I use Shell Vitrea 25 or 27 on all my machines. Is this a good oil to use?

I enjoyed this information and hope that one day I can acquire a similar container.
