Looking to see if anyone has a junker Columbia Q lid. I need the molding and handle with hardware. I bought a nice machine with perfect decal and veneer and would like to fix it up.
Thought i would try here before buying from Ebay or any of the usual parts suppliers.
Thank you, Stephen

Re: NEED....Lid Molding and Handle Columbia Q
Hey Steve
The Q has the same molding & hardward/handle as the "B" eagle.
Check out Ebay for this handle & hardware.

Molding can be easily made. Basically straight with a small ¼ inch radius.
Approx thickness is ¼ inch by 1 ⅛. Do the radius with a router first. Once you have the route done use a sanding block to knock the top off providing a 1/16 inch step. Now rip it to the ¼ inch thickness.
Use a single 3 ft piece of ¾ inch oak to make it easier to work with. This gives you extra for two screwups in your miter/fit.
Hardest part is matching the finish. Need to darken the grain with a filler before you stain.
If you want the challenge, let me know and I'll provide a picture with measurements.
