Thanks, rizbone. The bezel (escutcheon) for the original handle is missing, so I'll need to buy that as well. The handle on mine has been adapted with 2 coupling nuts changing from unknown male thread to female 5/16-18 thread.

Well, this is interesting...
I have a very original, unmolested L-door Victrola XVI from 1909, with female-threaded crank, press-in escutcheon, and reduction winding gear. All hardware is gold-plated.
Was Victor trying to use-up older motors in the enclosed-horn models ?
