Half pint vv-XIV

Post by Microtrol »

I was looking around eBay and found this table top vv-XIV on eBay. I didn't know victor built one, oh I see, looks like they cut off the lower section of the cabinet off below the horn

Seller says... "CABINET IS NOT PERFECT BUT IS IN GOOD SHAPE FOR IT'S AGE" more like it's half as nice as it should be!

As a former POTUS said in one of his movies, "Where's the rest of me?"

I've seen several of these cut down machines on ebay over the years.
You'd hope that the seller doesn't realize what he/she has and is not trying to dupe an unsuspecting bidder.
Post Huricane Sandy, you wonder how many more of these "table models" you might see here in the east.
How come nobody offers just the bottom half?????

Good question, especially since technically there's less than half, more like ⅓ there!

In an antique shop I once encountered the bottom half of an Amberola 1A/B with all 4 drawers intact - in oak. Made me sick...

Well this could be another survivor of former flooding on Old Man River. After all it is located in Craig, Missouri.
