I have checked the recent feedback received for the Ortho Repair Service, to get a ballpark estimate for total turnaround time of a sound box. Here is what I found:
Purchased Service Jan 4th Left + Feedback Feb 16th
Purchased Service Jan 6th Left + Feedback Feb 15th
Purchased Service Jan 9th Left + Feedback Feb 26th
Also, another individual apparently purchased the service twice, on November 9th and on February 10th. Feedback was not left until February 25th. Looks like late feedback to me. My guess is this person had 2 reproducers to rebuild but didn't want to send both at the same time. So they likely got the first one back from repair in late January /early February and then sent the second one out on February 10th.
So maybe a six to eight week turnaround time on average? I am cool with that since I can use the wait time to refresh the motor of my Granada. What does seem really strange though is waiting for two weeks before you even get word on where to send your reproducer. Just silence. Maybe his computer crashed?
