That eebay place has an interesting Amberola 30 - appears to have a Diamond B & special fitting to the horn. I assume the reproducer's neck is cut away at the rear.

ps - There was another one with an H reproducer, recently. These are the "oddballs" in Washegon, to which I recently referred.

Re: Amberola 30 sans C
Your machine may have started out as an Edison Amberola Model 30 made fot the International Correspondence School. These are referred to as ICS machines. The Model 30's made for ICS were equipped with a Model H reproducer that had a modified tail weight and a special reducer ring so the smaller diameter reproducer fit in the standard arm. It also had a chrome L shaped connector that attached the horn to the reproducer. These machines are uncommon but do show up once in a while.
I am attaching a picture of my ISC Model 30 so you can see what a complete original machine looks like. This machine will also be for sale at the Wayne, NJ show if anyone is interested.

Is there an ICS tag or decal anywhere on your 30?

I notice there is no speed control knob above the cover. The few ICS Amberolas that I've seen all had this feature. Could be an incorrect cover, but that means they would have had to remove the speed control knob.

rgordon, your grille looks a bit funky from the photo and not the typical style found on an Amberola 30.

Re: Amberola 30 sans C
I agree that the grill is incorrect. But it is the grill that was on it at the time I purchased it and he said that was the way it was when he bought it years ago. The grill can be easily removed and the correct on installed. I just chose to leave it as is.
