Re: Peachland250 on eBay
There's another seller, neelam or something like that, who as a pattern, lists a complete machine at an obscene price a couple times, and then proceeds to part the machine out after no one purchases at the inflated price. Drives me up a wall. I actually refuse to bid on any of his auctions, no matter how much I want the part, just because I can't be a party to that kind of behavior.

There will be very little demand for many of those parts like the back door, horn, or elbow which are unique to the Amberola III. It's too bad he didn't list those first to get a feel for parting it out rather than selling it complete. Once a major part is sold it just becomes a parts machine. Jerry

Totally agree. The first to go will be the works. He'll get $1200 or so for that and then who wants a back door, lid, (with which he's throwing in the SN plate, separating it from the cabinet with same SN stamped in it). The diamond A is in very poor condition but he'll get something for that. The rest is sold for peanuts or goes to the fireplace. A real shame.

I told him the same thing. I don't think he cares, particularly since he already has a bid on the bedplate/motor assembly... I'm sure he figures the rest will sell. and if/when it doesn't, it will always make a nice bar or piece of furniture or addition to the cans at the curb.
infuriating.
