2 minutes BLUE AMBEROL ???

I have a 2 minutes BLUE AMBEROL record... I tried to find more information about it but I only found two videos on YouTube.
do someone know anything about them?
I guess it is worth more than the usual 4 minutes. any idea on value?

A bunch of 2 minute titles in the Mexican series were reissued on Blue Amberol. I've heard estimates as high as 200 different titles. I'm not aware of why this was done or why it was only done in the Mexican series. They do not show up frequently, but I don't think there's a huge demand for them, other than the novelty of having a 2M BA.

Very likely, because Edison was phasing out the 2 minute records by then, preferring to concentrate on the 4 minute format and the Diamond Discs, they did not consider releasing 2 minute Blue Amberols domestically.

There might have been some special demand from Mexican dealers, where 4 minute machines were rare...

Those rarely turn up, but I have seen a few on ebay fetch $100. I found a dozen of them in New Mexico 35 years ago. All of mine are male vocals with minimal guitar playing.

Actually, 1506 is a regular 4M BA. Sounds like you're trying to play a 4M record on a 2M setting.

uh? but the grooves are bigger than those on 4 minutes records, and the pitch really isn't the same between 2 and 4 minutes (100 tpi vs. 200 tpi)

and how to explain it plays for only 2:30 ?

Since I have owned 13 or 14 Mexican series 2M Blue Amberols in addition to 1,000+ regular Blue Amberols, I will share some observations.

1) 1506 is indeed the Edison catalog number for a regular 4M Blue Amberol.
2) The Mexican 2M Blue Amberols have a different range of catalog numbers than the regular 4M series. What is the number on your title end?
3) The Mexican series title end is flat, just like the early 4M Blue Amberols.
4) The Mexican series was intended for the domestic Mexican market, and the carton tops are printed in Spanish.
5) All of the Mexican series I own have spoken announcements in Spanish. Yours has no spoken announcement.
6) All of the Mexican series I own have titles in Spanish. Is your title in Spanish? "Over The Waves" would translate to "Sobre las Olas".

The record does sound to me like it is skipping as if you are playing a 4M record on a 2M machine. I cannot see enough detail in your video to read the carton top or the record's rim. Some sharp photos would prove useful to evaluate what you have. Obviously, even a sharp photo will not enable me to distinguish 100 vs 200 TPI, but all the other factors taken together should allow us to make a probable conclusion.

yeah... after comparing the two videos, I can notice the "skipping" in my video.
