Where can I buy ammonium sulfate?

I've looked at some recommended places Caswellplating.com and Antique Phonograph supply Co. But Caswell you can't buy it unless you buy the $300.00 plating set and APSco. Doesn't even sell it, so I don't even know why people recommended it....I'm trying to do some nickle plating but i need the Ammonium Sulfate, so does anyone know where I can get some?

I did a search and found several places selling it as a fertilizer.

I saw that but I wasn't sure if they added extra something something to it to help it as fertilizer which, would be an impurity in the electrolyte bath.

You could try looking for local jewelry supply stores. It's been about 10 years, but I found Nickel plating solution for about $10 a quart at one.

Hi, I tried doing some a while ago and it didn't work very well, you may have more luck. I got my Ammonium Sulphate from Ebay. Gordon.

I know this is not an answer to your question, but if you want to do nickel plating, why not just buy nickel plating solution? I bought some from a jewelery supply house and it works well.

There isn't a jewelry store in our town! So I wish I could take that route. The closets jewelry store is like 40 miles away. So I can only do Ebay

Many garden shops handle it in small boxes.It will say ammonium sulphate on the box
label.
