Nice job on the ratchet repair. Those springs can be difficult to repair. I once had a generic disc machine that had the same problem. The biggest difficulty was getting the crank out so I could get the motorboard out because there was no access like on a Victor. The tail had broken off of the spring so I unwound a turn and made a new one. Once I got it fixed I sold the machine very quickly.

Got the new spring in the mail today, installed it, put it all back together, and it works just fine and dandy!
