I am currently engaged in a process of setting up to record local musicians and I am experimenting with various diaphragm materials but am lacking styli for the diaphragms. Right now I only have two proper styli-not counting the half dozen Edison Business machine styli I own (thanks to them being clipped to the mica, not merely glued as are the home recording styli)- and a handful of recorder bodies. If you have a cutting stylus for sale/trade I am interested! Better yet, if you have any recording mica (the flimsy stuff from the home recorders) I'd be interested in that too, as the recorders I have came with varying thicknesses and I am still tinkering with gaskets and design problems to create a couple nice recorders to use.
Best Regards,
Jake
