Behold! The greatest phono Craigslist ad of 2013....

Post by MicaMonster »

Hello Everyone,

I found this ad posted on Craigslist. I had found it 4 days too late. I am not disappointed by this, but rather confused and annoyed that someone could post this and leave me emotionally vulnerable, so easily! Such a tease! I have deleted the name and email address from the ad. The seller says, "I know very little about these so the best offer will win them," yet lists some of the best machines in the ad (and so well!), so there must have been SOME knowledge there. If this was real, or just a joke, we can all still dream, can't we? The ad was taken down this morning. Maybe a lucky forum member would like to step forward on this one?

Large Collection of Antique Phonographs for Sale!!!!
I recently inherited my uncle's collection of rare early 20th century phonographs.....This collection is not the common Victrola types you see so many for sale on here.
A small sampling of the phonographs that I have for sale are as follows:
Victor VI with wood horn
Edison Opera
Edison Class "m"
Columbia 2oth Century cylinder phonograph
Edison Concert Phonograph with many large 5" cylinders
Edison Idelia
Victor Victrola XVIII
Columbia Model "BD" with wood horn
I have too many too list, over 70 in all. Also many cylinder , some purple and discs records. Record cabinets, extra horns. This is truly a treasure trove for the collector.
I would like to sell this in one lot. I know very little about these so the best offer will win them.
Please contact me by email to set up and appointment.

This "Uncle" estate collection has been posted all over the US. Portland had the Multiphone with all pink cylinders. Pics were of a well know collectors machine. Again, "Uncle's" estate..... .
