Betinni Cylinder Box Question

Post by rodpickett »

A couple of years ago I picked-up this unusual Betinni cylinder box, which is different from the traditional red box with the hole in the lid. Does anyone know if this is fake or legitimate and what its history may have been?

Thanks,

It could be a reproduction, there is actually an Edison Gold Moulded label underneath, you can see it bleeding through in the photograph.

Good point. I had never noticed it before. You are correct. The flash must have enhanced the image. I have received info from another collector. It is a fake. Another fake, similar to it, recently sold on eBay for $325. The buyer demanded his money back and the seller agreed.
