I Was Married Up In The Air ~ Billy Murray

Post by bart1927 »

Here's a break from the usual 1920's dance band stuff I post. "I Was Married Up In The Air", sung by one of my favorite vocalists, Billy Murray. Recorded somewhere in November 1922, and issued on Victor 18991-B. On the flip side is the wonderful, non-PC song Jimbo Jambo.

That's a good Billy Murray record! I got a copy of this one about 30 years ago. Billy also recorded a similar one for Victor in November 1919 entitled "Wait till you get them up in the air, boys" (Vic 18628-A).

Great record! Billy Murray is one of my favorite vocalists too.
I've heard many, many records by him, and I have yet to find one I don't like.
