Report: Union Road Trip
I drove from Oregon to Union and back with my friend and fellow phono-nerd, Stan Stanford. We had a great time, Union was wonderful as ever, we all found treasures and we're still friends. We drove 4985 miles and burned 458 gallons of diesel. I picked up, delivered, or hauled for eleven other collectors and they all helped with the fuel costs. I had great intentions to take lots of great photos but I only took a few before the sale started. We didn't find many phono items on the trip but there were a few good finds. I'll try to write a caption with each photo. Jerry Blais

Jerry,
Those are some great items and I am glad I got to see you at the show.
About the dish with legs, I don't know what you were thinking!

Jerry,
Thanks for the pictures, and thank DeeDee for posing, too! That "ANOTHER lovely candy dish" look is priceless!

Jerry,
Great finds!
You are a good Samaritan for making so many collectors happy.
Maybe you could become the patron saint of phonograph deliveries.
I hope to find one of those nice Columbia signs myself someday.
I've printed out Dee Dee's picture holding the candy dish/ashtray as a reminder to not purchase one for my wife, just in case I find one and am tempted to do so.
Happy Collecting!
Gene

If not for the awesome dollhouse you brought back for Dee Dee, that ashtray would have surely banned you to the basement again!
Oh wait, seems to me you have some pretty awesome toys in your basement... perhaps the garage.
Oh yeah, saw a picture or two of the things in your garage... um, the doghouse??
Love the Donald duck sprinkler head... used to have one just like it when I was a wee lass.
