I stumbled upon this old ad about a tiny phonograph. Does this exist and
if so is there anyone on the board that owns one?

Re: World's Smallest Phonograph?
I'm guessing you'd also have to find the world's smallest records to play on it, too!
Here's a one paragraph article from Popular Mechanics (1928) which gives tad more information about it:

An interesting topic, nonetheless.

Re: World's Smallest Phonograph?
I am currently working on the future ‘world's smallest phonograph’, it is a working 1/12 scale VV-50. The phonograph will be powerd by a small clockwork spring motor using a watch spring. I am also making 1/12 scale records which will hold about 15 seconds of music.
I started on this yesterday and finished the case this morning, I also have a micro cutting turntable almost ready for making the mini record masters. I am currently working on the spring motor, turntable and reproducer for this little VV-50. If it works I will make additional models, such as a Victor V with a real wood horn, and a VV-XVIII with all the fine wood carvings-all in 1/12 (one inch) scale.
Attached is a picture of the mini VV-50 with a US penny for scale reference, also a picture of the mini Victor records.

				- 1/12 scale Miniola VV-50 (Victor Victrola-50)-This is a current work in progress. I am still working on the small spring motor, turntable and reproducer. Shown with a US penny for scale.
This model features a working lid support and magnetic latch. The small crank also 'hooks' to the lid with a built in magnet.

Playertone,
That's fantastic what you are doing, building miniature phonographs from scratch. I'd love to see progressive photos of your work. Good luck with your project.
