What is the serial number of your machine? At least five different motors were used over the seventeen nineteen year production run of the VV-XVI and it's successor the VV-120.

I believe I have the correct motor. Let me check and see what condition that it is in.

Have you your original motor? It would have some "core value", as it may be rewound and the commutator may be recut.

Is your resistor assembly in good condition, and does it have continuity? You might check this out.
