Yes or no on this edison DD phonograh?

The diaphragm link appears to have been replaced by a hunk of copper wire - that's probably why it won't play properly. That said, it does look like a pretty nice cabinet, and with up to 100 records, the price is not bad.

you exactly right , i figured that could not have been right! looked much to crude.. what could i use as a replacement diaphragm link or which replacement should i purchase off ebay? ive seen a few different ones.

Larryh on this site has an excellent replacement diaphragm (plug from a satisfied customer)...
