Hello,
I am new the forum and hope I can get some help. I am have recently purchased a Victrola VV-XI. This is my third Victrola and I love it. However, the speed indicator remains stationary the machine plays just fine. Also, it seems to be missing the small spring in the brake. Any thoughts? Is there anywhere where I can get a replacement spring?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

http://www.grainger.com for the spring, or George Vollema (victrola 'at' triton 'dot' net), or a helpful board member.

A real hardware store (not the big box guys) should stock an assortment of small springs. The cost would be no more than a dollar for one spring. I've usually had to modify the springs a little to fit. Not hard to do, just clip the spring to length and bend the last coil over to form a hook.

Similar question (where to buy small springs) came up recently in another thread. Try this source: http://www.harborfreight.com/200-piece- ... 67562.html. You might get lucky!
